The mission of ECTORS is to provide a forum for discussing and stimulating novel developments in the fields of cellular therapies in organ transplantation, organ regeneration and generation of new organs from stem cells and biomaterials.

ECTORS was established in August 2018 as a dedicated section of the European Society for Organ Transplantation (ESOT) for transplant professionals working on and interested in cellular therapies and organ reconditioning and repair. Our purpose is to provide a forum to discuss, educate and stimulate novel developments in the field of cell therapy in organ transplantation and organ regeneration. ECTORS builds on the MiSOT (Mesenchymal Stem Cells in Solid Organ Transplantation) Consortium that was established in 2009. MSC research remains an integral part of ECTORS, at the same time ECTORS strives to provide a platform for all other cellular therapies, organ reconditioning and organ regeneration approaches.
